Gloucestershire Nightstop works with young homeless people aged 16 - 25. We provide accommodation in the homes of trained and vetted volunteers, or Hosts.
We provide young people with support and advice to enable them to make a sustainable move on from homelessness at the earliest opportunity.
In each year we accommodate around 100 young people and Gloucester is our busiest area accounting for over 40% of the young people we help.
Our work is based in the community using volunteers to not only provide accommodation but also to mentor and support young people as they move through homelessness and into independence.
Around 80% of the young people we accommodate move on successfuly from our service making great gains in emotional wellbeing and practical preparedness as they go.
For most of the young people we support, Gloucestershire Nightstop is the only thing between them and street homelessness.
